Farewell to a new day will move from Cape Mulinuu (Sawaii, Samoa) to Cape Taputapu (American Samoa).

For many years, rocky point at the western most tip of Samoa (Sawaii) near Tufutafoe village was the very last piece of land in the world to farewell any day- Cape Mulinuu (Sunset Point).

On December 29, 2011 Samoa (Apia) plans to change its timezone from UTC-11 to UTC+13 thus the country will be to the west of the International Dateline, bringing its clocks to the same time as Tonga (UTC+13) and closer to New Zealand, Australia, Fiji.
