Did you realize that if you are in Nome, Alaska (which is almost at the tip of Alaska next to Russia) *RIGHT* across the bay in Russia it will be 3 hours behind Alaska time, but the next day??!! (i.e. +21). So, 9pm Friday Alaska = 6pm Saturday Russia.

I would just like to use this forum to alert all women to the dangers of ovarian cancer. Also have breast cance checks, I also developed that.Get checked often!! This is a silent killer, and is often not found before it's too late. That's what happened to me. Modern medicine has managed to stave off the inevietable at this point in time. But, it is only a matter of time before I succumb, far earlier than I would have under normal circumstances. Mine has metastisized to the liver and lung. With chemo, I may be able to hold on for another year or so. I will die before my time,unless modern medicine can pull a rabbit out of it's hat. Don't let it happen to you, or a loved one. Get checked at least once a year!! Also get yearly mammograms, so you, like me won't lose a breast(or two) to the other killer of women. Yep, you read right. although not common, I developed both breast and ovarian cancer at the same time. Pay attention to your bodies and don't take good health for granted, like I did!!!

This website answer my question! When my cable tv shows a certain program commencement time in M'sia, it also show the time in NZ and its always 1 hr after the M'sian time. Now I found out NZ is 5 hrs ahead of us. So maybe, the programs do not commence simultaneously in both countries!

Here's another use for worldtimezone.com. To figure out which time zone is the first to see the new day (or year!) and see which zone is the LAST to see the current day or year. According to the Oceania map, these first and last zones are NOT in the positions you might think they are; it looks possible for it to be 3 different days in three places in the world, and not just two!

Fascinating site. My only question is: can you explain the discrepancies in Oceania where some locations vary by 5 minutes or 30 minutes, instead of 60 minutes? I love this site. I have family and loved ones in a number of different countries and it really helps to know when is a good time, and when is not, to call. It also makes me feel closer when I can check the time and think of what they might be doing. Makes me a feel a lot less lonely, thank you.
